Open Session Policy
In recent weeks members of the coalition have come forward with concerns about voicing their views in a confidential manner. To address this, MaCCNO voted last week, Dec. 5, to endorse the following policy:
Meetings will continue to be held weekly on Wednesdays at Kermit's Tremé Speakeasy (1535 Basin St.) from 12:00 to 1:15. The first 30 minutes will be a confidential session, and at 12:30 we welcome members of the media, government representatives and academic researchers to join us and participate in the discussion of these important matters.

To empower the New Orleans music and cultural community through collective self-representation advocating in the interests of cultural preservation, perpetuation and positive economic impact.
If you have strong objections or other feedback, please respond via email by noon on Tuesday. Voting Procedure
We will also present a streamlined and ordered voting procedure.
Update on Jackson Square
The ordinances on Jackson Square were withdrawn by Councilwoman Palmer last Thursday, but they are going back to council on December 20th. We are still gathering details and will fill everyone in on Wednesday.
Street Musicians We would like MACCNO to be a safe harbor for voicing concerns within our realm. We would particularly like to give street musicians a voice. Please spread the word and plan to attend the next MACCNO meeting on Wednesday, December 12 at Kermit's Tremé Speakeasy
